When I first saw all of the prototypes that David had created, this was one of my instant favorites. I have always wanted to visit Ireland. While my roots are English and Norwegian… Ireland has always been near the top of my ‘Must Visit’ list.
Luck: Legends of Ireland has been such a fun game to create. David’s idea of learning about this beautiful country’s culture, legends, and folklore in such a creative way is captivating. When we playtest at conventions, we hear that from many players after they travel around the shamrock.
We self-published Haunted Inheritance and Float Your Boat, but wanted to try crowdfunding for Luck.
Enter Kickstarter.
While we have not really done a lot on the site, we have family and friends who have loved supporting new designers, finding gems in the masses, and helping to grow small businesses. We loved all of that! It was especially exciting when our friends at TnT Creative Gaming got their newest game, Complimentary Produce, funded… it even got us more excited!
So, we tried it out! Luck: Legends of Ireland was crowdfunding on Kickstarter from June 18 to July 10. We had lots of deals and exciting bonuses happening throughout the campaign!
Unfortunately, it didn’t quite work out this time. We had an amazing community of supporters, but not enough people heard about it to fund it. We are working harder on marketing, social media presence, and a few other tips we learned along the way, so that we can get Luck: Legends of Ireland funded and in stores for you to play!
