You know, I know a lot about learning.
I have been a teacher for more than 20 years.
I’ve been to seminar after seminar to be better at helping people learn.
I have learned that learning never ends. It’s usually not easy. Making mistakes is a way to learn.
…boy have we been learning a lot lately!
I suppose when you are on a creative journey, it is part of the fun to find out what works and what doesn’t. Those ‘happy little accidents’ can turn into something amazing, beautiful, and exciting. We have definitely had lots of those moments. We redesigned the gameboard a bit and added more color. The oop’s became WOW!’s and the board really looks good. David reimagined a few of the monsters’ weaknesses and now (*tee-hee-hee*) we have a big shoe as the weakness to one of our creepy monsters. His drawings were spot on… and totally fun! I took a bit of creative liberty and redesigned the banner for our Game Crafter page and it turned out AMAZING! Yay!!
And while there are many fun parts, there are also so many mistakes that didn’t quite go as planned. Learning the time-table of publishing, printing and designing has been hard. I want to jump in and give everyone a date, but that date keeps moving. Ugh. We look at these super cool customized pieces and the price it takes to make them and we get a little bummed. We will figure it out. We will learn and along the way, we will keep you filled in.
With any project that you start, both the hiccups and the hoorays are expected. Thanks for coming along for the ride!
